The uptown campus
Chris Churchill came away with some interesting bits about Edward Durell Stone's original plans for the uptown UAlbany campus -- as well as "surprising and unexpected beauty" -- during an architectural tour this past weekend. Elsewhere: J. Eric Smith on touring the campus as if it was post-apocalyptic. [TU Places and Spaces] [Indie Albany]

I think that it is really easy to think of the UAlbany campus as post-apocalyptic either a) really early in the morning when most of the students are asleep, or b) in the middle of winter breaks, but before inter-session classes start. :)
Heck, I think it has an interesting post-modern industrial gothic look to it, but... I'm no architect. :)
