A Greenfield woman was charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty for mistreating and neglecting more than a dozen horses. All of the horses were seized and taken to an animal shelter. [Daily Gazette] [Post-Star]

An Albany man was arrested after he allegedly slashed his girlfriend's tires and was then found with a pound of pot in his car. [TU]

There are 117 new housing units expected to open in downtown Albany in the next year. [TU]

With its new $12 million wharf, the Port of Albany will be able to handle four docked ships at once. [Daily Gazette]

The new federal MAPLE Act, which makes it illegal to improperly label maple syrup, could benefit New York syrup farmers. [TU]

As for the "Occupy" idiots, why don't they do it in Washington Park, ya know, where the rest of the homeless people "occupy" everyday.
