You might want to move that meeting to a different conference room

In cube farm offices it's not uncommon for people to duck into closed conference rooms to have private conversations on the phone. But the state Inspector General alleges there was a problem with the calls a guy was making from conference rooms at the Department of Environmental Conservation headquarters in downtown Albany: he was calling phone sex lines. The IG alleges the now-retired DEC employee racked up more than $20,000 in improper toll calls over a six-year period. He was arrested today and charged with six felony counts. [NYS IG] [NYDN]
