Fall tasting menu

jason baker thumbnailHere's what looks like a good chance to check out all the praise/buzz about what Jason Baker has cooking at the Wine Bar and Bistro on Lark: a "fall harvest celebration" five-course tasting menu next Wednesday (November 9) for $70. A few of the items: smoked pumpkin bisque, roasted trout, sous-vide bison short rib. Menu's embedded after the jump. There are two seatings, 6 and 9 pm. The Wine Bar doesn't normally take reservations, but they do for tasting menus.

Wine Bar Bistro Lark Fall Tasting Menu-2011

Yep, the Wine Bar advertises on AOA.

Earlier on AOA: Talking with Jason Baker about food, art, inspiration, grocery shopping, and his love of a passive-aggressive French kitchen.

I really admire the creativity and execution of Chef Baker. Just looking at the menu, you can see that the focus is around fresh and local ingredients, which is great for everybody. I'll definitely have to try the fall tasting menu, but I'd have trouble figuring out what to get within courses! Those are tough choices!

Pistachio powder...!

Sounds awesome.
