TWC outage

That exasperated cry from every direction this morning around 9:30: Time Warner Cable customers who were cut off from the internet for about 10 minutes. TWC described it as a "a large but brief internet outage affecting most of our service areas." Most of the East Coast and areas as far west as Kansas City were knocked offline. TWC had an hour-long phone and internet outage last month in New England. [@TWCableHelp] [The Verge] [Bangor Daily News]

Switched from TW to Verizon FiOS last week. Wish I had done it a long time ago.

I've been a TWC internet customer since they first began serving my neighborhood in Clifton Park a LONG time ago (when was that anyway? 1997 or 1998?). I've never had any complaints with their service and find their tech support folks to be on top of any down-time I have ever experienced. In our office we have used several other local carriers and if I could only point to one or two minor outages in the past year I'd be happy; but rather we lose email service for hours on end at least once a month.
