Red Lions in the attic

Something to listen to this morning: "White Butterfly" by The Red Lions, from that attic show last week with The Fling and Rosary Beard, which we've heard from multiple people was a good time. Here's another song from the show.

A good show in an attic. We're not sure what kind of sign that is about the local music scene. Good -- there are even good shows in attics! Not so good -- the good shows are in attics!

Or just it could just be a good show. In an attic. And that's it.

Jason Lehr posted a set of nice photos from the show, too (that link goes to a slideshow).

Like.

Suck it, Austin!

great video, the red lions sound reallly good

so the attic...is an actual attic? i was kinda hoping that someone opened up a new venue named after the night club from Saved by the Bell...

Having recently seen photos of the before/after nature of Phantogram where when they were cover darlings of Metroland they looked like out of work migrant orchard workers and then they got signed and look like cover girls (well the one looks like a cover girl with a beard), I would recommend these Red Lions find a stylist. Or rename themselves the Grey Lions. Not a stitch of red among them.

Remember the Red Lions Kickstarter project that was funded back in August of last year? There's 40 backers wondering what the hell happened to it.

Chill, the album is still in the works, and it's going to be awesome. You probably heard some of the new songs if you were at the show.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
