Where's the plow?
Today in municipal snow clearing info tech: Chicago has launched a site called "Chicago Shovels" that includes a realtime map that tracks where the city's snowplows are operating. NYT on the snowplow tracker: "city officials expect [the map] to debunk the belief that routes are politically motivated." (Next level: a mashup with the tracker and the addresses of local political leaders.)

Really? This is the best use of their time?
