Not quite the warmest, but close
To say it's been unseasonably warm seems like an understatement today, but this is not the warmest Capital Region winter on record. According to a new report from Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University, the 60 day average for December 1- January 29 in Albany was 31.2 degrees. A climatologist from the Center says this makes it one of the 20 warmest early winters on record. The warmest local temperature in this time period was 34.6 back in 1932.[News10]
