What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: Columbia County, fun in Vermont, the Radix Center, a coyote, Troy's beautiful city hall, Edith Wharton, an angel with attitude, local radio, mini hot dogs from scratch, BYOB, CSA, Sunday yoga, school bus habits, Saratoga ointment, and an eggplant.

Sebastien spent 12 hours in Columbia County.

Christine spent a couple of fun days in Vermont.

Ethan got a tour of the Radix Center's greenhouse.

Val saw a coyote -- "In the middle of freaking Albany."

Carl found a photo of Troy's old city hall -- not the recently-demolished one, the "beautiful" one that burned in 1938.

Emily went to Edith Wharton's 150th birthday party at The Mount.

Albaniana visited the Hyde -- and encountered an "angel with attitude."

The Idiots surveyed local radio stations.

Mr. Dave is constructing mini hot dogs with meat sauce -- from scratch.

Daniel continued his campaign change the TU's Best of poll. Jerry had a few thoughts about that.

One of Steve's readers asked when it is OK (or not) to BYOB.

Jen signed up for her first CSA season.

Silvia went to pay-what-you-will Sunday yoga.

Rob wondered by space in the state employee parking lots in downtown Albany is routinely taken by people like... Rascal Flatts.

Kristi was appalled by bus-riding school children and their parents.

FiS Dan noticed there's Saratoga ointment.

And Paula came across an eggplant in an odd spot.

The old city hall was so beautiful, yet that park is terrible. People drink in that park constantly, and I've had trouble with it multiple times. Definitely one of the largest quality of life problems in Downtown Troy.
