Depending on your perspective, there are probably at least one or two (or more) things that will make your head explode in this NYT article about the New York State English Regents exam for high school students. The thing that applied the most explosive pressure to our skull: that you can apparently pass the English exam without actually having a reasonable command of written English.

Ahhhhh! There are so many things connected to this that are not being said. As usual, many comments just end up being attacks on teachers. It's depressing.
