phish spac 2009

Phish at SPAC in 2009.

Phish will be playing three shows at SPAC this summer -- July 6, 7, 8 -- Live Nation announced today. Tickets go on sale March 16 at noon. They're $45 (lawn) and $60 (inside).

The SPAC shows are part of a summer tour that starts at Bonnaroo in Worcester, Massachusetts in June. As currently posted, Saratoga is the last stop on the tour. The band last played SPAC in 2010, for two nights.

Dave Matthews Band: It's returning to SPAC this summer, too -- June 8 and 9. Tickets are on sale March 9.

Their tour actually start before Bonnaroo at nearby Worcester, MA. Three nights at SPAC! I don't think they've ever played more than 2 nights there.

Yay! I love it when the shows are right down the road. :)

(1) We're lucky to have a place a cool as SPAC in the region.

(2) Phish fans are lucky that the band seems to hold our area in high regard, as they have played so many shows here over the years (and many of those have been stand-out performances for one reason or another.)

(3) The video announcement of the tour is cool: http://summer2012.phish.com/index.html

Three nights> They might get around to playing, what, three whole songs!
