What happens to a county when no one lives there?
Population projections for Hamilton County -- located in the heart of Adirondacks -- paint a future in which there are very few people -- and of those who would remain, few will be of working age. The projection is prompting concerns about the long term viability of the county. [Post-Star]

well...it's not wilderness...and local residents should not be discounted...but all the same, these are unsound conclusions and fears. does anyone really think hamilton county will cease to exist in the forseable future? its just the basis for an argument to increase short term gains through development.
