Dodgeball tournament at Wash Ave Armory
This could be fun: registration is now open for the Kearney Cup Dodgeball Tournament at the Washington Avenue Armory in April. It's a benefit for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Albany.
Teams are made up of 10 people -- and it's $500/team to enter. Organizers say they had 34 teams last year and are hoping for 64 this year. Registration ends when they fill all those slots.
Also: there's a 5-foot trophy.
The tournament is April 15. Matches start at 10 am that day.
Speaking of dodgeball... The weekly dodgeball games at the Wash Ave Armory organized by the Albany Society are still going on. In fact, they're playing tonight at 7 pm. It's $10 for guys and $5 for women.
