Syracuse University announced today that center Fab Melo will not play in the NCAA tournament because of an "eligibility issue" (update: an anonymous "university source" tells NYT it's an academic issue). Melo was one of the best shot blockers in the nation this season and the anchor of the Orange zone defense . Any realistic shot the #1 seeded Orange had at the national title just vaporized. A lot of brackets are currently being revised...

Funny, they didn't know this on Sunday BEFORE the selection? Melo shouldn't have been eligible at all this season, he can barely speak any english.
