Tickets for Rosary Beard at Steamer 10

rosary beard

Hunter Sagehorn and Matthew Loiacono

Drawing's closed! Winner's been emailed!

Rosary Beard -- that would be Matthew Loiacono (Matthew Carefully) and Hunter Sagehorn (of Alta Mira) -- is playing a show at the Steamer 10 Friday night to celebrate their new album, Halfmoon Fever. We have two tickets, and we're giving them away -- maybe to you.

The enter, please answer this question in the comments:

What's your favorite beard or facial hair?

This could be in general (goatee, handlebar) or specific (Santa Claus, Ron Swanson). We'll pick one winner at random.

The new Rosary Beard album is a series of acoustic instrumentals. It's good. We've enjoyed listening to it during the work day -- it sort of makes the rest of the world temporarily disappear.

Opening Friday's show: Winterpills, a chamber pop group from Northampton. It's a well-matched slate.

The show starts at 8 pm. Tickets are $13 ahead / $15 at the door.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 10 am on Wednesday (May 2, 2012) to be entered in the drawing. One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment (seriously, we want to give you the tickets). The winner will be notified via email by 3 pm on Wednesday and must respond by 10 am on Thursday (May 3, 2012).

Thanks for this awesome ticket giveaway, AOA!

Congratulations to the very special winner! All your beard choices were interesting - especially Alex's - we know you rock that better than the guy in the picture!!!

One last thing - we forgot to mention this but everyone who attends the show this Friday will receive a CD copy of Halfmoon Fever on their way out the door!

Do you have Halfmoon Fever?

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
