Independence Day exhibit at the Capitol
If you're around the ESP for the fireworks and whatnot on the Fourth of July, you might want to stop into the Capitol for a new exhibit of artifacts highlighting New York's role in the revolution. Among the items now on display: a large, 1813 portrait of George Washington, GW's ceremonial sword, a Revolutionary War soldier's kit, and Benedict Arnold treason papers. The Capitol will be open from 2-8 pm on Wednesday -- and the exhibit will be on display through July.

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
