Red Bulls game trip

Could be fun: Wolff's has organized a bus trip to the NY Red Bulls match on August 10 (vs. Houston Dynamo). For $75 you get the trip down and back, a ticket to the game, a meal, and two beers. Bus leaves the biergarten at 3 pm (game is at 8 pm). The Red Bulls recently acquired star Australian midfielder Tim Cahill in a transfer from Everton in the EPL.

Good for the Red Bulls to have Cahill. Even he knows that Everton are crap.

Just an FYI to whoever ends up driving the bus: Red Bull Arena is in Harrison, N.J. (right outside Newark), not New York City. It's a great stadium. Have fun.

What a sad case. It's very difficult to find a developer with the resources, vision, and commitment to take on a costly and risky project like St. Joe's. It's a shame that the hidebound conservatism of the neighborhood stymied the first and only realistic, pragmatic, and frankly very cool, project to come along in many years. I hope the church and the neighborhood gets one more shot, although I'm not optimistic.
