Warrior Dash 2012 deadline

warrior dash 2011 sebastien fire jumpThe annual Warrior Dash at Windham Mountain is this Saturday and Sunday. The 3.2 "hellish" miles include 12 obstacles -- among them, fire, bridges, and mud (a lot of mud). Some people wear costumes. It's a little (or a lot) crazy.

Registration is still open -- but it closes Tuesday at midnight. The entry fee is now $90 for Saturday and $80 for Sunday.

Here's a photoset by Sebastien from last year's race. And here are race recaps from Jen, Silvia, and Diana.

If anyone is still looking to register, I have a livingsocial voucher for Sunday 8/12 that I can't use.... $37 (instead of the $90 that registration is now!!!).

If you're interested, email the Editors -- editors |at| alloveralbany |dot| com -- they have Katy's contact info.

Unfortunately, $90 is way too expensive for this race. I remember when it was $50.

What a sad case. It's very difficult to find a developer with the resources, vision, and commitment to take on a costly and risky project like St. Joe's. It's a shame that the hidebound conservatism of the neighborhood stymied the first and only realistic, pragmatic, and frankly very cool, project to come along in many years. I hope the church and the neighborhood gets one more shot, although I'm not optimistic.
