State Museum opening Sundays again
NYSED announced today that the State Museum will once again be open on Sundays, starting September 16. Sunday hours were eliminated in 2011 because of budget cuts. Before that, Sundays had represented about 20 percent of the museum's attendance, according to the press release. The trade-off for being open the full weekend: the museum will be closed to public on Mondays. (That's not a bad trade.)

This is great news! I would imagine that Saturdays and Sundays would be the most popular days for locals to visit the museum.

I agree: this is the best news I've heard in awhile.
