More precocious kids. And, again, not in a good way.

Albany police say they've arrested three kids -- all 15 or younger, all with previous "interactions" with police -- for allegedly stealing from cars in Washington Park. APD says one of the kids, a 12-year-old girl, has "had numerous contacts with the Albany Police" -- the first at 9 years old for stealing a mobile phone. [APD]

APD: Juveniles Arrested for Stealing from Cars

Albany police have arrested three juveniles since Thursday evening after they were all caught stealing from cars in Washington Park.
On Thursday August 16, 2012, just before 5:30 p.m., officers arrested a 12 year old girl from Elk Street, after she was caught with a stolen I-Pod. Officers confronted the girl after responding to the area of State Street and Sprague Place, after a concerned resident observed the girl checking cars. The I-pod was determined to be stolen from a vehicle in Washington Park.
She was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th.
The girl, whose name is not being released due to her age, has had numerous contacts with the Albany Police since 2009, mostly in reference to stealing from cars. Her first contact was at the age 9 after she stole a cell phone from a bus driver. In October of 2011, she was arrested for possession of stolen property after she was caught on State Street with a stolen purse and I-Pod. She also had an arrest in October of 2010, at Madison and Willet Street ,after she again was caught stealing from cars.
On Sunday August 19, 2012, Officers arrested two Myrtle Avenue teens after they were caught with stolen property following a car larceny in Washington Park. Officers responded to the park after receiving a call that the two teens were breaking into a car. Officers caught up with the teens moments later and located stolen property, burglary tools, and a pellet gun.
The one teen, who is 15 years of age, was in possession of a GPS Unit that was later determined to be stolen from a car parked inside of Washington Park. He was also in possession of a metal wrench that he was using to break car windows in order to gain entry.
He was charged with Criminal Mischief 4th, Petit Larceny, and Possession of Burglar Tools.
He has had several contacts with the Albany Police since 2010, including two other arrest. On August 10, 2012, the teen was caught stealing a camera and cell phone charger from a car on North Main Avenue. He was also arrested in November of 2011, for burglarizing The Pub, located at 869 Madison Avenue where he stole liquor.
The second teen, age 13, was charged with Petit Larceny and Criminal Mischief 4th after he was also caught with a GPS Unit that was determined to be stolen from a car in Washington Park. He was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon - Persons Under the Age of 16, after he was found to have a pellet gun in his pants pocket.
Although this was this teens first arrest, he has also had several interactions with the Albany Police, mostly for checking cars.
All three teens have been released to their parents and are scheduled to appear in Albany Family Court at a later date.
