Puck drops soon for Union, RPI
After its trip to the Frozen Four last season, the Union College men's hockey team is ranked #5 in the pre-season poll. The Dutchmen open the season October 6 at home against Merrimack. Puck drops at 7 pm. Tickets are $10. (RPI opens its season the same night at home against Acadia University.)
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
Comments
It should be noted that the first few games of the college season (especially RPI's) tend to be more akin to pro preseason games - not always the lineups/starters/etc you might expect on the ice, and opponents that don't necessarily have anything to do with RPI. Example: Acadia University is from Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
Ferris State is playing because RPI's coach is an alum. The real RPI season begins with Black Friday, November 2.
