Up or out, Jimmer

Brutal evaluation of Jimmer Fredette by an anonymous NBA scout over at Sports Illustrated: "Jimmer Fredette will be in Europe in a year or two. He has no future in the league. None." In a separate article, an SI writer argues this is a make-or-break season for Jimmer.

What do NBA scouts make? Because right here on AOA I said the same thing last year.

there is nothing wrong with Jimmer. He's just too slow for the NBA. No shame in that. So are you. So am I.

The only shame is for the people who wasted a 10 pick on him. They should be fired.

Adam Morrison, Pt 2. Google it.

And if he wants to be a point guard he might want to try to average better than 1.7 assists a game.

He needs to embrace his inner Steve Kerr and have a long career as a 5 point a game pure shooter. Or he can pull a Ryan Leaf (Google it).

What a sad case. It's very difficult to find a developer with the resources, vision, and commitment to take on a costly and risky project like St. Joe's. It's a shame that the hidebound conservatism of the neighborhood stymied the first and only realistic, pragmatic, and frankly very cool, project to come along in many years. I hope the church and the neighborhood gets one more shot, although I'm not optimistic.
