Hookah, hookah
The Capital Region is going from no full-time hookah spots to two. Badger's Hookah Bar on Caroline Street in Saratoga is opening Wednesday, according to its website. And there's also a hookah lounge planned for Schenectady, the TU reports. Hookah smoking has reportedly become more popular over the last decade with young adults, which concerns public health experts because they say it's basically just as dangerous as smoking. The increase in the number of hookah lounges around the county has prompted some local governments to try to close the indoor smoking ban exemptions for hookahs.
