Josh Ritter at The Egg

Singer/songwriter/author/guy with very blue eyes Josh Ritter is playing a show at The Egg February 13. Tickets go on sale to the general public November 28 -- they're $34.50.

Ritter was last here a year ago, at the Egg, for a solo acoustic show. This time around he'll be performing with the Royal City Band.

He released an EP earlier this year. And had a book published the summer before.

A few years back Paste included Ritter on its list of the 100 greatest living songwriters. (He was #97)

What a sad case. It's very difficult to find a developer with the resources, vision, and commitment to take on a costly and risky project like St. Joe's. It's a shame that the hidebound conservatism of the neighborhood stymied the first and only realistic, pragmatic, and frankly very cool, project to come along in many years. I hope the church and the neighborhood gets one more shot, although I'm not optimistic.
