RIP, Mr. Food
Art Ginsburg -- AKA Mr. Food, "Ohh... It's sooo good." -- has passed away in Florida. He was 81. Ginsburg was originally from Troy -- he grew up working in father's butcher shops, and eventually moved into catering. He was also active in local theater, and a director asked him to appear on a local TV morning show segment in the 1970s -- that eventually led to syndicated segments on stations all over the country. Bonus bit: Here's a 1997 clip of Mr. Food on Conan. [MrFood.com] [AP/WP] [Troy Record 2010] [MLive 2011] [CBS6]
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
