Bedlam for less
Rob notes: "Dog book author Jon Katz is not having much luck selling the site where his best known books are set. His 92 acre spread in Hebron [Washington County], Bedlam Farm, went on the market at $650,000, was reduced a year ago to $475,000, and now may be had for just $375,000."
From the listing: "The quintessential farmstead, this property includes a grouping of restored barns, heated studio perfect for the artist, 15-20 acres of pasture, high quality fencing, & frost free hydrants for watering the animals." Not included in the sale: dogs. You'll have to supply your own.
(Thanks, Rob)

Best of luck selling the place, Mr. Katz. You're going to need it.
