Albany mayor's office on Twitter

Now on Twitter: Jerry Jennings' office -- @AlbanyCityHall. (For real.) First public request met via the service (apparently): sidewalk around a park shoveled.

Welcome to 2013?

His tweets seem to emit this orange/tan glow....

Do you think it will be Jennings himself who will tweet? Do you think Jer will take a blanket & a space heater to an elderly resident without heat like Cory Booker recently did based on a twitter request?

I tweeted a request for garbage pickup in my neighborhood park, and ol' JJ had it done the same day. Overall, I am pleased with this new setup, though fake Jerry Jennings' tweets were funnier.

MassMoca has always been a huge hit with the assorted nieces and nephews I've hosted. You can combine it with a lunch at one of the places over there, too. Cooperstown is also a fun day trip. Whether or not she's into baseball doesn't matter, the town is charming and the Farmer's Museum is worth a visit.
