Currently listed for sale: Taste, the downtown Albany restaurant. As you might remember, this is the restaurant that started as Dale Miller and switched names in 2011 after the chef and the owners parted ways.

Update: Steve Barnes spoke with one of the owners, who said that any sale would require that gift cards or other commitments be met.

(Thanks, Elisabeth)

Taste has advertised with AOA in the past.

Comments

Wow, just today there is a Groupon for Taste! Maybe I'll hold off on that one...

Jessica R: For what it's worth, it seems to take a long time to sell something like this. And presumably whoever bought it would want to continue as a restaurant there. So there probably isn't much risk in buying the deal.

Update: See Steve Barnes' post.

When Stephanie's on the Park changed ownership they would not accept the previous owners coupons and eventually changed their name.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
