Petersburg Pass

An interesting take from the Biz Review's Philip Schwartz on skiing the Petersburg Pass -- a former ski area just off Route 2 on the Rensselaer County/Massachusetts border. "The safety net that comes with resort skiing is gone in places like Petersburg. It's not Rocky Mountain backcountry-- for one, there's no threat of avalanche--but there's still an element of danger. There's no ski patrol to scoop you up if things go wrong. You have to be more aware of your surroundings; you have to rely wholly on yourself."

Skiing Petersburg Pass is super fun and some of the best exercise you'll get in a day!

I'm in a similar situation. I was just going to ignore it (not take the free turkey) but if I can donate it to a charity I am all over that like gravy on mashed potatoes.
