From the annals of lottery unluck
Maybe you remember that story from last fall about the $5 million state lottery ticket that prosecutors say was stolen from a Syracuse a man by the owners of a convenience store -- the state lottery actually aided police by issuing a press release after the owners come forth to claim the ticket six years later. The owners are set to go to trial later month -- and the story is playing out with word that the man who's alleged to have actually bought the ticket declared bankruptcy in the interim, and the neighborhood has since turned on the owners' store.
