Droning
A bill -- the "Empire
State citizens' protection from unwarranted surveillance act" -- has been introduced in the state Assembly and Senate that would place restrictions on the use of drones by both private individuals and law enforcement. Back in March the Verge had a good article about drones and regulation: the use of the flying robots is poised to take off (ahem), but legislation is lagging behind -- the situation has prompted concerns both about privacy and the possibility that regulation could hold down a new industry.
