Photos from AOA5

aoa5 composite

Here are a bunch of photos from AOA's 5th birthday party Thursday. It was great to see so many people -- both to meet some for the first time, and to catch up with others we don't see often enough.

Many thanks to the City Beer Hall for putting together some very tasty food and making sure everything went smoothly. And thank you to Andy Kainz Photography for the photos.

There probably weren't a lot of people who thought AOA would make it five years -- we're not sure we would have predicted it! We greatly appreciate all the support over the years. Thank you.

AOA has some friends with amazing facial hair.

Sorry I had to punk out. Next year!

Thanks so much for the great party, as always AOA. Happy 5th Birthday!

People looking normal. People looking normal...then bug eyed ginger man. haha. But you shoulda heard what the guy talking to me (off camera) had just said, though. :)

Happy 5th Birthday, AOA!

I loved it- thanks for doing this for your readers.

photo# 16: me & my vintage suit are now in with the in crowd.

Great party, Greg and Mary! Happy birthday!

The party was a blast. So many nice people in one place. Congratulations guys!

was quite honored to be a part of the celebration! here's for 5 more years and many more... that is, if Greg and Mary want it :)

again, thank you for what you've done.

It was a great time. Glad I could be there. Happy Birthday AOA!

Now I almost wish the name tags were back :)
Off to CL's Missed Connection :)
Happy Birthdaoa!

Duncan, I think I have some where you look even MORE excited :) As always, a great evening!

Thanks again for having us! Sorry we couldn't stay longer.. but we still made it in the pictures! Happy birthday.

As always, it was a great time with a great crowd. Have I ever told you how smart your readers are? And attractive.

Also, the photographic talent you've brought in over the years has been great.

Congrats! Here's to 5 more!

Where were those cupcakes from? They were the best.

Sorry I missed it... Congrats.... hope to see you soon.

The only bad thing about an AOA party is that there are too many amazing people to talk to in one night! Looking at these pictures makes me realize how badly I worked the room. Throw more parties, please!!

Happy birthday AOA - Here's to five more!

fun people watching in a great space!
but speaking of name tags...
I've only been to one other AOA birthday get together (which was delightful) so I don't know if you've had name tags in the past. I would've loved to see name tag/"I post as..." on people. Once I chatted with the three people I knew it would've been great to read someone's tag and have a more organic entree into conversations...(as opposed to standing there examining the delicious looking cupcakes while enjoying my Manhattan).

I'm also going to give a shout out to the smoked meats.

OMNOMNOM!

Thank you Mary, and Gregg for the invite to your fab bash!
I liked the lamb sliders,mac-cheese balls, and of course the scrumtious cupcakes! Did Coco dots make those? The frosting was heavenly! Also want to thank the gent in the dark suit, with the beard, who parted the crowd, the sweet faced fellow with the blue tee-shirt,and plaid jacket who got me a stool, and of course the cute young fellow who carried my walker down the stairs.

I had a blast! Thank you AOA and everyone there for a wonderful time!

Finally getting caught up on my reading and what a pleasure to see this since I wasn't able to make it.

So many of my favorite people in these photos! Here's to another five and beyond...

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
