This is a very complicated case... you know, a lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what-have-you's
Your legislature at work: There's a bill that would require bowling alley operators to post signs warning people not to wear bowling shoes outside -- because the shoes are slippery. In return for the signs, bowling alleys would be exempt from liability in slip-and-fall cases involving bowling shoes. The two western New York legislators sponsoring the bill -- in both the Assembly and Senate -- say it's necessary because of an increase in the number of such lawsuits from people who have gone outside alleys to smoke while wearing they're bowling shoes and then slipped because the shoes got wet. (The obvious solution here: jellies.) [Open Senate] [WGRZ] [via Albany Watch]

Love those Dude Jellies. The Legislature abides.
