"This is not good enough."
There are currently 20 US Senators who are women, a record number. And a recent NYT article highlighted how a group of female Senators on the powerful Armed Services Committee is pushing ahead on a long running problem: sexual assault in the military. Kirsten Gillibrand is part of that group, and in a recent hearing she made it very clear to the Secretary of Air Force and general that the military isn't doing enough to fix the problem (that link includes video of KG in that hearing). "Women Senators" drives me nuts. Would you say "men Senators"? No, 'cause "men"/"women" is a noun, not an adjective. "Female Senators" and "male Senators" would be correct.
Editors: You're right -- that phrase is a grammatical wreck. Fixed.
