APD Press Release -- Stabbing Arrest


Albany detectives arrested an 18 year old city resident in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Hunter Avenue.
 
On June 21, 2013 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Colby Street and Hunter Avenue for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers located a 24 year old male with several puncture wounds.
 
The victim was treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been released.
 
Nicholas Lewis, 18, of Albany, was arrested Tuesday evening following an investigation.
 
He was charged with Attempted Murder 2nd.
 
Detectives also charged Lewis's friend, Brandie Hensmen, 31, of Albany, with Conspiracy 2nd for her role in the incident.
 
Both were arraigned Wednesday morning in the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
