A mouthful of bluegrass diamonds

This made us smile today: A cover of Phantogram's "Mouthful of Diamonds" by local bluegrass/Americana band Eastbound Jesus. The original Phantogram is embedded after the jump.

Eastbound Jesus just played a sold out show at Caffe Lena last week, and they're on the slate for Bellstock in the Catskills July 19. (The multi-day event is organized by local concert promoters Guthrie Bell and features a bunch of local acts.)

What's up with Phantogram? It sounds like they have a new album -- and tour -- lined up for some time this fall.

Am I missing something? lol the EBJ link goes to a link about Lyme disease.

Also, I went to high school with these guys- they are great! So happy for them.

I know that Eastbound Jesus are purveyors of ADK rock, but having their name link to the doctor search article on Lyme disease was, well, odd. May I suggest http://www.eastboundjesus.com/

@Kayla, Andrew: Erf. That was just a copy/paste fail on my part. Fixed. Thanks.

Enjoyed that very much, thank you.

I recommend that they practice their vocal harmonies a bit more before recording
