A Bellini made with Prosecco and a splash of anything peachy. Or gin & tonic with a lot of lime. But given this heat wave I'd be drunk all the time so in reality I just drink a lot of seltzer.

When it's hot, my favorite thing to drink is my own lemon water kefir.

I'd have to go with Ithaca's Ground Break Saison. Great refreshing and flavorful beer.

I know the best way to stay hydrated is with water, but beer seems to satisfy me on these really hot days -- preferably something from Butternuts Beer & Ale.

I would have to say an ice cold Newcastle does it for me!

A mojito made from fresh mint from my garden!

margaritas...as long as I'm the one making them...and never "frozen"

Oh, this is easy. Hop Stoopid from Langunitas. Tasty, cheap, and with that high ABV that you only need one.

And this seems like something awesome! Well done, AOA!

Ice cold Sams Summer

Anything and everything. I want to drink all of the things.

Dark and Stormy!!

Lemonade.

Saranac Shandy!

Mint julep

Fresh brewed iced tea, nice sized lemon wedge and lightly sweetened.

Sparkling Raspberry Lemonade

Gin, mineral water, and a lot of lime.

G&T or lemon water with homemade mint syrup.

Just water!

My favorite thing to drink when it's hot is an ice cold 16oz. Red Bull. Since it's so hot, it warms up just enough where the flavors really come out. Drink within 15-20.

Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, that's a straw, you see? You watching?. And my straw reaches acroooooooss the room, and starts to drink your milkshake... I... drink... your... milkshake! I drink it up.

A spicy IPA works for me.

A nice, crisp hard cider is refreshing on a hot day.

I love an ice cold pinot grigio in the summer, but a nice Hefeweizen does the trick too!

Arnold Palmer Half & Half - Iced Tea & Lemonade

Cava, seltzer, brewed iced tea. In a row :-)

lavender lemonade- maybe with a little zippiness.

Well typically ill go with water but if I'm going alcoholic I'm doing a crispin or scrumpies hard cider in a glass overflowing with ice.

Margaritas

Ommegang Witte! Especially when the beer is cold!

A large, well-iced Diet Pepsi. But, if I am indulging, a woodchuck cider or Newcastle are my go-tos when the heat is on.

Any lambic.

Hard to beat a home made margarita, but a nice heffe also fits the bill.

Saranac Wet Hop IPA in a freezer chilled glass.

My margaritas - fresh lime, cheap booze, salt rimmed mason jar, splash of lime seltzer, on the rocks!

A good cold sour beer. All the best parts of a cold beer, but with the added thirst quenching acidity of a lemonade.

Watermelon infused water in a frozen mason jar:)

An ice cold Coca-Cola for sure!

Hot tea. Srsly.

A nice Gueuze. Preferably something from Cantillon, Drie Fonteinen or Tilquin.

If it's alcohol, it's champagne or sparkling wine from anywhere else in France. But it's pretty much always just straight up tap water!

A gin and seltzer with lime or a greyhound.

It's ever changing. Right now, it's a Shandy. We have some Saranac in the fridge we got at Boilermaker. It used to be Brown's Cherry Raspberry. Or ice water, but that's boring.

something with gin and a lot of ice

An icy margarita!

I make my own shandy and it's now a request at friend's dinner parties - Homemade awesome lemonade mixed with a lager beer, preferably Yuengling. Mix to taste but usually I do about 40% lemonade, 60% beer.

Ice cold Troy Spring water!

Chatham brewing scotch ale in the basement of the blue plate in chatham.

Water or a nice cold refreshing... beer!

Cream Soda Float!

ice cold beer!

When it's hot I like to drink beer. When it's cold out I like to drink beer. When it's moderately warm to sweater-jacket cold I also like to drink beer. Preferably at City Beer Hall.

Iced cold water with lemon!

Cold beer!

Crabbies Ginger beer, and the beer hall is one of the few bars to have it in Albany!

pretty much anything brewed by southern tier

ommegang witte, please!

Harpoon IPA

Pimm's Cups, all day long.

I like a good strong Caipirinha!

A glass of Hudson River water!

A mojito with Quackenbush Stillhouse Rum and mint infused simple syrup(keeps you from looking like a fool with muddled mint leaves in your smile), fresh mint sprigs bruised as a garnish.

Icy cold Genesee Cream Ale

Ouzo on ice

Love a cookies & creme milkshake from Stewart's! The fruit smoothies from Kurver are great too!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
