Nite Moves turns to the Supremes
You might remember that Latham strip club Nite Moves argued it should be exempt from state sales taxes on on cover fees and private dances because it's an artistic endeavor -- and argument that was rejected by the New York's highest court last fall. So now it's petitioning the Supreme Court of the United States to take its case, and it's gotten a law firm with "a highly regarded First Amendment practice" to help pursue the effort. This case is a mockery of the arts and the first amendment. Fine you have the right to strip, but having been dragged into nitemoves on 2 occasions there is nothing that resembles artistic expression going on....unless you count the butt and bajingo prints on the mirror which I suppose is very Yoko Ono of them.
