Drawing: ValleyCats championship tickets (+ballpark food)

joe bruno stadium night game 525x350

The ValleyCats take on the State College Spikes at The Joe in the NY-Penn League Championships tomorrow.

The Tri-City ValleyCats have reached the New York-Penn league Championships, and on Tuesday night, win or lose, they'll play their last home game of the 2013 season (games 2 and, if necessary, 3 will be played at State College PA.)

We have a four-pack of tickets for the tomorrow's game, that include food vouchers -- and we're giving them away, maybe to you.

To enter, please answer this question in the comments:

The end of the ValleyCats season is reminder that another summer has come and -- nearly-- gone. What's your favorite memory of the summer of 2013?

We'll pick one winner at random. That person will get a package that includes four tickets to Tuesday's game, plus vouchers for each person to get:

+ 1 beer or soda
+ 1 hot dog
+ 1 bag of chips
+ 1 ice cream sundae

Tuesday's game starts at 7 pm. Tickets to the game are still available and start at $5.50 online or $6.50 on game day.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 11:55 pm Monday, September 9, 2013 to be entered in the drawing. You must answer the question to be part of the drawing. One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by 10 am on Tuesday, September 10 and must respond by noon that day.

Tulip Fest! Does that count as summer?

Rocking on the River concert series... down by the river!

This summer I took a trip with two other women and two boys under the age of 12, from here to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, back down through Ohio and Western NY, touching each Great Lake on our way. It was a road trip of epic proportions and I will never forget it!

The big-headed mayor's race.

My favorite memory of summer 2013 is going to the beach with my kids and watching them play in the sand and water.

While vacationing this summer in NH the whole family conquering the aerial forest ropes course at Cranmore Mtn!

My favorite summer memory was camping, hiking, and kayaking with my boyfriend. I took him to his first ever baseball game to see the valley cats and we were on the kiss cam!! He loves baseball.

Probably my favorite moments of summer 2013 were at SPAC...I got to attend 4 concerts this year, and they were all a great time!

My favorite memory of the summer is getting engaged!!!! :)

Beach time in Maine and Portsmouth, NH

Ryan Bingham......Americanarama @ SPAC.

Camping on Brown Tract Pond in the ADK. Nothing beats having a waterfront site, a canoe ride to an island, and a plethora of hiking opportunities nearby except maybe tickets to a playoff (minor league) baseball game.

Labor Day weekend: When I bought my new prius and took it up to Lake George!

Birthday dinner in August at City Beer Hall!

camping in the adirondacks!!

My favorite memory of the summer was being with my grandfather when he turned 101!

Without a doubt, the sheer amount of time I was able to spend with my budding family this year.

Debbie Gibson!

Seeing Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me! at Tanglewood! The show was great, and it was interesting to hear how much they record versus what's compiled into the final show. It was also my first time to Tanglewood, and I wish that it had been earlier in the summer so that I knew I should plan to go more often. Now I need to wait until next summer!

This summer, my wife and her family went to Tanzania, which in and of itself was amazing--but the best part was witnessing a lioness take down a gazelle about 30 feet from our car. Best summer ever? Definitely.

Vacation to Grand Tetons & Yellowstone

My favorite memory of summer is road trips with friends blasting music with the windows down. A road trip to the 1000 islands tops the list.

Discovery of the Cookie Factory

Enjoying our first time having a CSA. Awesome veggies from Quincy Farm!

I ride every day to work, and also after work for exercise. I love the concept of being a person who happens to ride a bike. There's a level of bike riding, with the high performance gear and sleek clothing, that makes riding seem like its not for everyone. I try to avoid markers like that, and always wear regular clothing/shoes/backpack with dumpy-looking bike. One concession is bike gloves.
