Operation Chicken Airlift
More than 1,000 chickens were flown -- on an airplane -- from California to Elmira, New York last week as part of an effort to find a retirement home for the former egg layers, thanks to $50,000 from an anonymous donor. The chickens were headed to sanctuaries on the East Coast -- including the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary in the Hudson Valley, where they were given a checkup, a name, and space to roam. Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

It's good to see that Americans care more about chickens than Syrian refugees. Or Iraqi refugees. Or Afghan refugees.
Save the chickens!!
