Capitol Hauntings Tour 2013
Registration is now open for the popular Capitol Hauntings Tour at the state Capitol. Tour blurbage:
Does the night watchman who died in the Capitol fire of 1911 still make his rounds?
Which two United States Presidents visited the Capitol after they died?
What happened to the "lost" Capitol murals and their eccentric artist?
Does the secret demon carved in stone hold a Capitol curse?
Come to the New York State Capitol for a special tour that explores
these questions and other legends connected with this historic building.
The tours begin October 7 and run through November 1 (schedule). They're free, but registration is required. And in the past, they have filled up very quickly (especially the 5:30 pm slots).

Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

Now that everyone carries a phone with them at all times and almost everything is documented or "caught on tape" I'm curious why no one has any good ghost photos or audio.
Perhaps, because there is no such thing?
However, the capitol certainly is cursed. No NY Governor will ever be president again. Happy Halloween Andy and all of your overly ambitious minions who should have gone to work for Gillibrand if they were smart!!

Actually, the tour features many images of supposed spirits caught on camera! And there are audio examples as well.
Come take the tour and see for yourself!

If you really want to see some spooky stuff, you should visit the Capitol late at night around Mid-June. Legend has it that you can find dozens of scary vampires with greasy hair and fancy suits roaming the hallways on the 3rd and 4th floor. They aren't that hard to miss because they are usually very loud and never stop talking once you get them started (and especially if you have lots of money laying around).

It will be real scary from noon to 5:30 during the week when the place is teaming with people.
Here's a novel idea, Maybe add some times during the week when people who work can enjoy too.
Silly state.
