Just visited Whetstone Station in Brattleboro, one of the places mentioned in the first article, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Really lovely atmosphere (even on a rainy day), pretty basic but very tasty pub food, and an impressive beer list.

Damn - was just up there last month to get some Lawsons Maple Tripple and somehow missed the Blackback, even though we were right across the street at Prohibition Pig...
Oh, and in the second article, regarding Heady Topper: if the question was "Is it better than P[liny?]" - the answer's no.
