Colonie police say a Troy man has been arrested in connection with the shooting at a club -- Shenanigan's -- on Central Ave early Sunday morning, though CPD says there's no indication he was present for the shooting. CPD alleges the man lied when reporting his SUV stolen after it was allegedly involved in the shooting. CPD says it appears there was an altercation and then shots were fired from the SUV, hitting a club bouncer in the leg (though he probably was not the intended target). CPD: Update to Shooting Investigation at Shenanigan's 2169 Central Avenue

The following is an update about the Colonie Police Department investigation into the 11-10-13 shooting at Shenanigan's 2169 Central Avenue.
The victim is identified as: Karl Richerson, age 46 - Schenectady - recovering at Albany Medical Center Hospital from a single gunshot to the lower leg. He was working as a bouncer at Shenanigan's when he was shot.
The shots were fired from a vehicle driving by Shenanigan's and that vehicle, a 2004 Jeep Liberty, was located, unoccupied, shortly after the shooting in the lot of the Lawrence Motel 2155 Central Avenue. Unfortunately, there is no suspect description available for the shooter. The registered owner of the vehicle, used in the shooting, falsely reported his vehicle stolen to the Colonie Police Department and made false statements that hindered the investigation. The registered owner was arrested and is profiled below, but there is no indication that he was present during the shooting. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact the Colonie Police Department at 783-2744.
Defendant:
Allan S. Frierson - age 49
Troy, NY
Charges: Hindering Prosecution 2nd (felony) and Falsely Reporting and Incident 3rd
