Mike Birbiglia at Troy Music Hall

mike birbiglia 2013

Comedian/storyteller/actor/writer/director Mike Birbiglia will be at the Troy Music Hall for a show March 21. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, December 6 at 5 pm online, and in person on December 9 -- they're $29 and $34 (students get a $3 discount).

Birbiglia is probably best known for his one-man show Sleep Walk with Me and his appearances on This American Life. He collaborated with TAL host Ira Glass to turn Sleep Walk with Me into a film of the same title that was released last year.

Birbiglia's new show is Thank God For Jokes. Tour blurbage:

With this show, award-winning filmmaker, author, and comedian Mike Birbiglia returns to the stage with more painfully awkward stories of telling jokes and how that can get you in trouble. Join Birbiglia as he visits Cats-a-chusetts, argues with someone about their nut allergy, hosts an awards show for angry celebrities, and learns that Fozzie Bear is a tough act to follow.

The Troy Music Hall show is at 8 pm on March 21 (a Friday).
