Amy Schumer at the Palace

comedian Amy Schumer 2013

Update: The show has been rescheduled for October 25 "due to television commitments."
____
Comedian Amy Schumer will be at The Palace for a standup show March 13. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, December 6 -- they're $37.50 and $45.

Here's how Schumer described her standup act to the St. Louis Post Dispatch last year:

[P]eople always say I look sweet but say some cutting stuff with a smile. I am sweet, but it's an adult show. ... I don't like the observational stuff. I like tackling the stuff nobody else talks about, like the darkest, most serious thing about yourself. I talk about life and sex and personal stories and stuff everybody can relate to, and some can't.

In addition to her standup, Schumer also has a show on Comedy Central, Inside Amy Schumer, which is set to return for a second season next spring with a bunch of notable guest stars (including Paul Giamatti, Parker Posey, Questlove, and Mike Birbiglia). And Judd Apatow is directing a movie that she wrote and will star in.

Schumer played The Egg this past spring and the show sold out. The Palace has a lot more seats, but even so, if you'd like to go, it's probably better to get tickets sooner rather than later.

Bonus bit: Amy Schumer is related to Chuck Schumer -- they're second cousins.
