After a billing mishap resulted in X's to O's Vegan Bakery in Troy needing to pay National Grid $2,500 by this coming Wednesday or have its power turned off, the bakery posted on its blog about its predicament this past Friday and announced a gift card sale to help raise the money. By Saturday afternoon, they had reached the goal. (By the way: After reading the account of the billing mishap, it sounds like something on which National Grid could have/should have worked with the bakery -- especially if NG didn't bill them for six months, as described.)
