The Gallupville man accused of extracting three adult front teeth from the mouth of the eight-year-old mentally disabled girl in his care, was indicted on Wednesday on two counts of assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The Rotterdam board voted Wednesday to keep the Rotterdam Emergency Medical Service rather than signing with the for-profit Mohawk Ambulance. A standing room only crowd turned out in Rotterdam on Wednesday night to support the not-for -profit REMS - which has been providing ambulance service to the town since FDR was president.
