Jack Johnson, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros at SPAC
Announced today: Jack Johnson is set to play a show at SPAC May 24. And with an opener that will draw a fair amount of people: Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. Tickets go on sale this Friday (January 31) -- $34.50 (lawn) and $64.50 (pavilion).
Jack Johnson has ridden the wave of gentle folk/acoustic/surf pop to wide popularity over the last decade. He played at SPAC last year as part of the sold-out Farm Aid.
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros don't actually include a person named Edward Sharpe. Rather the indie folk rock group is centered around singer Alex Ebert and revolving cast of players. You know their song "Home" ("Alabama, Arkansas /
I do love my Ma and Pa / Not the way that I do love you...) -- it's played been everywhere.
The May 24 show at SPAC is on a Saturday, which happens to be Memorial Day weekend.
