Today's moment of winter

Shrouded in snow.
This photo of downtown Albany this afternoon floated in via the Twittersphere today. It seemed to capture the day -- snowy -- and at an angle most of us don't often see -- from the Capitol.
As of 4 pm, the National Weather Service reported 8.5 inches of snow for Albany, which happens to break the previous record for the date (8 inches in 1975).
Update: The total for all of Wednesday, according to the NWS: 10.4 inches.

Holy smokes, since when does a minor snowfall in upstate NY in February start breaking records. Pathetic.
