Second Modest Mouse show added at Brewery Ommegang

modest mouse on trees

After the near instant sell out of the May 24 Modest Mouse show at Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, a second show has been added for May 23. Tickets go on sale this Friday (March 14) at 10 am -- they're $45 ahead.

The opener for the Friday, May 23 show is Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls. (They were in town for a show at Upstate Concert Hall last November.) The Saturday opener -- Brand New (which played a sold out show at UCH last fall) -- wasn't available, according to the show's promoter.

So, it should go without saying that if you're interested in getting tickets for this new show, you should prepare to buy them when they go on sale Friday. Tickets will be sold through the Dan Smalls Presents website and at Brewery Ommegang. May the ticket server odds be ever in your favor.

I know they're plenty popular, but the very quick sell out also had something to do with the way the scalpers came out en masse.
Ebay is chock full of tickets for the Saturday show, all for $120 and above - There has to be a better way, right?

Agreed, Mike. I enjoyed the days when you and your friends had to go line up at your local record store the morning the tickets would go on sale.

Scalpers ruin the fun for everyone. Hopefully now everyone who wants to see them at the regular price can, and I hope that leaves the scalpers with a bunch of extra tickets to sell for face value.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
